Homes for sale in Tampa Fl are getting a lot of push from continued business expansions and job creations in the Tampa Bay area. In recent weeks, several large companies have expanded their operations in the city and its suburbs. More employees with higher salaries mean more prospective buyers of Tampa homes.
Among the most recent expansions by Tampa businesses are the following:
CareCentrix Inc.
This company, which provides management services for home health benefits, has opened its second facility at Westlake Corporate Center to enhance its capacity to serve its ever-increasing number of clients. This has provided job opportunities for 152 more people, increasing CareCentrix’s Tampa workforce to over 500 employees.
CareCentrix, based in Hartford, Connecticut, decided to expand its operations in the Tampa area largely because of Tampa Bay’s experienced health benefits professionals and proximity to major clients. The incentives offered by Hillsborough County and the state of Florida were also major factors in the expansion efforts by CareCentrix, which also has care centers in Kansas City in Kansas, Albuquerque in New Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona.
Among the organizations that persuaded CareCentrix to expand its Tampa business were Enterprise Florida, Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp. and Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. CareCentrix, which manages a network of 7,000 home healthcare providers across the U.S., has just won new contracts from Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee.
Time Warner
This company has launched its new resource center that would pay an average annual salary of $57,200 to each of about 500 employees that will be hired over a period of five years. The center, scheduled to open in 2012, will house Time Warner’s payroll, finance, human resources, information technology and accounting employees.
Again, the city of Tampa beat other cities such as Atlanta, Phoenix, Charlotte, Nashville and Rochester largely because of the efforts of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp., Enterprise Florida and the Hillsborough County Commission. These three organizations have been doing great things for real estate professionals selling homes for sale in Tampa Fl.
KPMG Says Tampa Was the Most Cost-Competitive Large U.S. City to Do Business in 2010
The expansion efforts by CareCentrix and Time Warner and other enterprises like the Port of Tampa, Tampa International Airport, Zim Integrated Shipping Services, University of South Florida, AT&T, Southern Graphic Systems, Xcelience, Savtira Corp., Verizon, MacDill Air Force Base and Trammell Crow are great validations for the finding by KPMG that the city of Tampa was the least expensive large city to do business in the U.S in 2010.
KPMG found that Tampa’s business cost index was 96, four points below the U.S. index of 100. The cost indexes of the other cost-competitive cities – Atlanta, Miami and Baltimore – were 96.3, 97 and 97.1, respectively, nearer to the U.S. cost index. The cost index included factors such as corporate taxes, salaries, employee benefits, office lease costs, transportation costs, real estate prices, utilities, and sales taxes.
