This global law firm that operates 39 offices in 26 countries will open its services center in Tampa. It has recognized the role of Tampa professionals who have joined the company and it plans to continue hiring to serve its clients worldwide.
TRIBRIDGE
This technology services company will create up to 200 new IT jobs at its Tampa headquarters, doubling its Tampa workforce by 2016.
Tribridge specializes in industry-specific business applications and cloud solutions. It has 600 employees working at its facilities across the U.S., with
more than 240 of them working in the Tampa Bay area.
Tribridge was ranked No. 55 in Inc. magazine’s list of the Top 100 Leading Job Creators in the U.S. in 2013. It ranked No. 3 in job creation in Florida and No. 3 in job creation in the IT services industry.
QUEST DIAGNOSTICS
Up to 350 new jobs will be created by Quest Diagnostics by 2015 as it launches its state-of-the-art national operations center in Tampa. These are jobs in
customer service, human resources and logistics. Quest Diagnostics is a leading provider of diagnostic information services in the world. It operates clinical laboratories and related facilities across the U.S., providing a wide range of testing services, from routine diabetes and cholesterol tests to highly advanced genetic testing services for cancer and rare diseases.
The expansion, a new facility at 10411 University Center Drive in Tampa, means a capital investment of $9.3 million in Hillsborough County. It features a logistics monitoring hub that can track both air and ground operations for its logistics network nationwide that includes aircraft and vehicles.
The Tampa facility will operate a shared services human-resource center that will support to Quest’s 45,000 employees working across the U.S.
ACOUSTIBLOK INC.
This shelter company is expanding its manufacturing and office facilities in South Tampa to cope with the rising demand for Acoustiblok soundproofing products in the U.S. and in other countries. This will mean an increase in job openings
for warehouse and sales services.
Acoustiblok acoustical soundproofing and thermal solutions are being used in more than 60 countries and have received international awards for its performance in sound abatement. A Thermal Imaging Camera can allow you to see areas of heat though smoke, darkness or heat permeable barriers, to avoid damages. Its main products include the Acoustiblok viscoelastic polymer- based soundproofing material, Quiet-Cloud industrial sound absorption panels and Thermablok aerogel nanotechnology thermal insulation.
TAMPA BAY BREWING CO.(TBBC)
Ybor City-based TBBC has launched a second brewery restaurant at a 2.1-acre site near the Hillsborough/Pinellas County line. The site will feature a building for brewery and packaging that will increase by four times TBBC’s present brewing capacity.
The expansion will provide up to 60 new jobs and a capital investment of more than $6 million in Hillsborough County.
CONNECTWISE
A total of 112 new jobs will be created and a capital investment of $1.28 will be launched in Hillsborough County by Tampa-based Connectwise. Currently, Connectwise employs more than 330 people in 2 Tampa facilities. Connectwise provides the Connectwise business management platform to technology companies worldwide. The platform integrates business-process automation, help desk and customer service, sales, marketing, project management, and business analytics to streamline an enterprise’s operations.
