The Tampa Bay real estate market was the second hottest residential market in Florida in 2014.
Of the 20 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) researched by Florida Realtors, the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater MSA, which is located in four counties, namely Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando, posted the second highest number of single-family homes sold in 2014.
A total of 40,095 single-family homes in this MSA were sold, representing 16.4% of all single-family homes sold across Florida in 2014.
