Seven counties energized the Florida real estate market in December, each surpassing the 1,400-unit level, with Broward County selling a total of 2,599 single-family homes, townhomes and condos, the highest number of closed sales among the state’s 67 counties. The seven counties contributed a sales total of 13,298 units, accounting for 50.2 percent of Florida’s total residential sales in December 2012.
