Here are the top 25 elementary schools in Hillsborough County, where the city of Tampa is located, based on school grade points achieved for the 2010-2011 school year. School grade points are based on scores in the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). The FCAT is administered to school children in grades 3 to 11 to test their abilities in reading, writing, mathematics and science and to measure their progress toward meeting the educational benchmarks of the state of Florida.
