Which Tampa Bay home price range is the most popular?
Among 10 price ranges, the $150k to $200k was the most popular price range for all Tampa Bay single family homes sold in June 2015, based on data published by the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors (GTAR).

Here are the 10 price ranges and the corresponding number of single family homes sold in June:
Less than $50,000 298 homes
$50,000 – $99,999 653 homes
$100,000 – $149,999 874 homes
$150,000 – $199,999 878 homes
$200,000 – $249,999 613 homes
$250,000 – $299,999 464 homes
$300,000 – $399,999 466 homes
$400,000 – $599,999 313 homes
$600,000 – $999,999 137 homes
$1,000,000 or more 56 homes
As you can see above, a total of 878 Tampa Bay single family homes in the $150,000 to $199,999 price range were sold in June, the biggest sales number among 10 price ranges studied by GTAR.
Single-family home sales in Hillsborough County alone also showed that the $150,000 to $199,999 price range was the most popular price range. The same with Pasco County. In Pinellas, this price range had the second biggest number of sales.
The $150,000 to $199,999 price range also dominated new listings and total active listings in the Tampa Bay single-family market in June, A total of 1,005 single family homes were listed, resulting in a total of 2,226 active listings in June.

Hillsborough County Single-Family Market
In Hillsborough County’s single family market, the $150,000 to $199,999 price range was the most popular, with 360 homes sold. It also had the biggest new listings (407 new listings) and biggest total of active listings (845 active listings). It was also the second fastest selling price range, staying on the market for a median of only 33 days, much less than the median of 43 days for all price ranges in Hillsborough.
Pasco County Single-Family Market
The $150,000 to $199,999 price range also dominated the Pasco single-family market with 200 units sold. It was the second biggest in new listings and in total active listings. It was also one of the five fastest selling price ranges, with homes staying on the market for a median of 49 days.
Pinellas County Single-Family Market
In Pinellas County’s single family market, the $150,000 to $199,999 price range had the biggest number of new listings (275 newly listed properties) and current inventory (645 active listings). It was the third fastest selling price range, staying on the market for a median of only 44 days, just one day more than the median number of days in the whole Tampa Bay market.
TAMPA BAY TOWNHOUSE AND CONDO MARKET
In the Tampa Bay townhouse and condo market, the $150,000 to $199,999 price range was also popular. It had the second biggest sales, second to the $50,000 to $99,999 price range. It was also the fastest selling price range, staying on the market for a median of only 50 days, along with the $200,000 to $249,999 price range, which also stayed on the market for a median of 50 days. It also had the second biggest number of new listings for the month, second again to the $50,000 to $99,999 price range. It also had the second biggest number of current inventory for the month, with a total of 874 active listings, second again to the $50,000 to the $99,999 price range.

In Hillsborough County’s townhouse and condo market, the $150,000 to $199,999 price range was third in sales, new listings and total number of active listings. It also In Pasco County’s single family market, the $150,000 to $199,999 price range was the second most popular in terms of new listings and total number of active listings.
